With the aim to put Egypt on the map of sports tourism, especially auto racing sport; Kult for Marketing Solutions in collaboration with CBC revealed the first of its kind in Egypt ‘Battle of the Wheels’! The automobile racing event long-awaited by the sport’s fans in Egypt consists of 150 racers participating in several stages starting at Tolip, New Cairo and ending at North Coast with endless surprises for the audience!
The organizing company held a press conference to announce the huge event. It was attended by the well-known car racing star, Ramy Serry along with Karim Abo Ghaly , chairman of Kult association; Khaled Hosny, manager of Abo Ghaly Motors group; Ahmad el fangary, manager of DHL express; and Ahmad El Gendi, head of the rally and racing committee of Automobile Club.
“This championship is the first worldwide car race to take place in Egypt and is to be sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism with the objective to activate sports tourism here in the country,’’ said by Ahmad El gendi, head of the racing committee and rally of Automobile Club. Karim Abo Ghaly , chairman of Kult association, announced that the race will include a variety of car racing styles including Drifting , Time Challenge, Barriers, Drag Race that will be launched internationally on various media channels with CBC channels group as the prime media partner.
The first round of Battle of the Wheels continued for 3 consecutive days in Tolip Hotel in Cairo, where the first day consisted of Time Challenge; where the participant has to cross a particular given distance in the fastest time possible. The second day consisted of Barriers Challenge; where individual abilities of participants are challenged as they cross barriers from above, below and around testing their control abilities using the hand break . The third day consisted of Drifting Race; where participants get to cross very sharp-angled boundaries and control their cars in instants before they drift out of control.
Karim Abo Ghaly declared that a grander event will take place in the North Coast and the surprise destination will be announced shortly. The place will be exceptionally attractive to boost tourism and set the corner stone of the car racing sport in Egypt; proving to the world that Egypt is a “secure and safe” country. Ahmad el fangary, manager of DHL express affirmed that they are seeking to be present in such enormous event that will be worthy of Egypt’s name and will achieve vital goals boosting tourism and spreading auto racing sport awareness among the young Egyptian talents who admire such top-notch sport.
