This is the Forth FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola, and it’s scheduled to arrive to Cairo on March 15th and depart on March 17th under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour will be visiting 50+ countries this year giving millions of people around the world the opportunity to get ready to taste the feeling of the world’s largest, most anticipated sporting event. In hosting this momentous, international tour; Coca-Cola and FIFA invite fans to get up-close and personal with the trophy that is presented by FIFA to the winning country of the World Cup. For thousands of fans, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the most iconic symbol in football and share their passion for the game.

The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off in September 2017 in Russia and will visit more than 50 countries across six continents; travelling 126,000 kilometers in the nine months leading up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The trophy will be coming to Cairo from the Ivory Coast and will leave to Naples, Italy for a quick Euro tour before crossing thousands of miles and landing in Argentina.
“2018 will witness Egyptians coming together for the FIFA World Cup. Therefore, Coca-Cola is bringing the Trophy to Egyptians who will not get the chance to travel to Russia and watch their national team compete,” Commented Karim Salah Eldin, Coca-Cola Egypt General Manager. “While this is not the first time for the Trophy to come to Egypt, this time is very special with the Egyptian National team joining the FIFA World Cup 2018, and with Egyptians getting ready to taste the feeling of real Football joy by witnessing the most iconic symbol of FIFA World Cup victory.” He added.
Coca-Cola is organizing a variety of activities that will take place on March 15th -16th to celebrate the Trophy’s arrival in Cairo. Activities will provide the opportunity for the public and youth in specific to see and meet with the FIFA World Cup Trophy and will also give a chance to the unprivileged young Egyptians to meet with it, in addition to a wider media outreach activity for all football fans in Egypt.
