Egypt Hosts INJAZ Al-Arab
Egypt was selected among other 9 countries by INJAZ Al-Arab, a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide (JA) to host this inspiring event. The event is carried out with the espousal of Ministry of Education and in a strategic partnership with the Egyptian Tourism Authority. School and university students from 9 other different countries will be attending, in addition to 400+ guests that include prominent MENA’s leaders; Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan, Founder & Chairman of Bin Zayed Group, Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chaiperson of Al Salam Bank, Dr.Yehia Al Khobar, Saudi Arabian Minister of Education, and Ashessh Advani President and CEO of JA Worldwide.
Commenting on the preparations, INJAZ Egypt Founder and CEO Dina El Mofty said: “We are proud that Egypt, the largest Arab country, will host INJAZ Al-Arab 11th Young Arab Entrepreneurs Annual Competition. For the past 14 years and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, INJAZ Egypt has been able to train more than 600,000 students in 330 schools and 32 universities. Our vision is to change the lives of those students, empower them, and provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to become the leaders of tomorrow, This is also done through the Young Arab Entrepreneurs Competition, where we challenge them to use the skills and knowledge they acquired to create truly innovative companies.”
Students Stimulate Economy
The first launch for the INJAZ Al Arab Competition for Young Entrepreneurs was in 2007. The purpose of the organization was to stimulate the economy (global or national) through intensifying the Arab youth’s entrepreneurial skills and culture which leads to creating new job opportunities and building a dynamic market.
80+ school and university students from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia will taking part in the competition this year to show off their innovative ideas to everyone. This year’s awards are: “University Company of the Year”, “High School Company of the Year”, “University Product of the Year”, “High School Product of the Year”, “University Company for Best Social Impact”, “High School Company for Best Social Impact”, “2017 FedEx Access Award”, “Citi Client Focus Award” and the “MBC Al Amal Pitch of the Year Award”.

Various reputable global and regional enterprises collaborate in organizing the promising event namely, FedEx, MBC Al Amal, Citi Foundation, Boeing, and with the support of local partners from Egypt namely PepsiCo, Banque Misr, DOW, Al Alfi Foundation, Credit Agricole, and the Four Seasons Hotel at Nile Plaza.
The annual INJAZ Al-Arab Young Arab Entrepreneurs Competition has several steps to ensure the fruitfulness of the event; the completion of each country rounds, followed by six months of training in work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship based on INJAZ Al-Arab’s internationally acclaimed Company Program.
