The world-renowned French house; Longchamp, brought together all fashion elites at the wonderful African dining concept, Kiza to launch its new Spring/Summer ’18 collection. The event’s location encapsulated the culture and vibrancy of the new season featuring the independent, modern, and cosmopolitan woman who truly appreciates luxury.
Longchamp’s event reflected its tradition of excellence as it puts a symbol of French craftsmanship and savoir-faire in each piece of the sophisticated, exotic collection
The collection is inspired by a Rive Gauche resident’s journey to the heart of Africa. From Rue des Beaux-Arts to Boulevard Saint-Germain, this bohemian and gentle woman artist is exploring the world of tribal indigenous cultures and art. The grids inspired graphic effects and the materials serve as sources of inspiration.
The Longchamp event presented a printed silk blouse with leather shorts, a safari jacket in suede or cotton gabardine, and a smooth leather patchwork skirt. Beautiful flowy dresses in embroidered lace or dotted Swiss tulle look ways better when they are worn with a cropped suede jacket.
Longchamp displayed two bag designs in the Summer 2018 collection. One of the designs is the Madeleine bag, which is inspired by indigenous cultures and art and comes now in an edgier version; including orange & nude and lilac & honey shades. More emphasis is given to details in all numbers for stylish effect. The second bag design is the Effrontée, which breaks with convention. The new bag plays up its sophisticated, rebellious feel, and shows its own rock and roll appeal with the leather & chain strap.
In the 2018 collection shoes you will find some triple-strap flat sandals, espadrilles with ankle straps and woven rope soles glowing with pink gold metallic leather. Suede lace-up boots with open toes marvelously complete Longchamp’s new creations.
