Over 3,000 runners came together at SODIC’s third annual charity run arranged in collaboration with Cairo Runners, held this year in honour of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt (BCFE).
The 6Km run which started from the Westown Hub was open to runners of all ages and was front lined by inspirational women and survivors, all coming together to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of its early detection which immensely contributes to early recovery. All funds raised from the run were donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt (BCFE).
Funds raised by SODIC’s charity runs in previous years were directed to Baheya cancer hospital and towards building and operating a school in Ezbet Khairallah. The runs are a part of SODIC’s ongoing social responsibility efforts, as well as being one of SODIC Sports initiatives.
