Representing her country Egypt, Wadi Degla’s squash champion Raneem El Welily has brought pride and happiness to the Egyptian hearts by winning the most prestigious title in the squash world; Squash World Championship.
El Walily claimed this title after a number of matches at the world tournament that was held at Manchester. The squash tournament had total of eight Egyptian players, of which five were representing Wadi Degla Club. Two of the Egyptian players made it to the semi-finals, including Champ. El Welily winning the title and champion Nour El Sherbiny.
In celebration of the great accomplishment of the 28-year-old Egyptian player, Wadi Degla Club is honoring Ranim with a special event acknowledging her worldwide achievement of winning the Squash World Championship, which is recognized as one of the club’s, not to mention the country’s, biggest sports victories.
